Your elopement should be all about you and your lover. That is exactly what Paola and Sam said when they planned their day! They were visiting NYC from Florida with some family and secretly got away one morning and eloped at city hall! They told almost no one (family included) and TBH I was a little nervous for them, because my family would have FLIPPED. But after the intimate ceremony, they facetimed their family members and every single person was so excited and happy for them.
We started the day at The Beekman Hotel, which if you have not been, what are you waiting for? I highly reccommend visiting the Hotel Bar and basking in the architecture and luxurious vibes of the hotel.
From The Beekman, we headed over to the City Clerk’s office just in time for Paola and Sam’s appointment. We only had to wait a little while since they scheduled a morning slot, meaning they were one of the first few couples to get married this day.
Then we hopped on the subway (what could be more New York?), and headed to get some pizza and then end the day visiting the New York Public Library. By the end of the day, my stomach hurt from laughing so much. Paola and Sam’s love radiated throughout the city and was such a fun care-free kind of love full of a happiness that felt contagious.
